NOW HIRING: Youth Volleyball & Pickleball Coaches

Do you love sports, enjoy working with kids, and bring energy wherever you go? Ingersoll Athletics is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate coaches to join our team!

We are hiring coaches for our youth volleyball and pickleball programs. Applicants can specialize in either sport, but individuals who can confidently coach both are especially encouraged to apply.

What you'll do

  • Lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate volleyball and/or pickleball sessions for children and youth.

  • Teach fundamental skills, techniques, rules, and game strategies.

  • Create a positive, inclusive environment where athletes of all skill levels feel welcome.

  • Keep participants active, engaged, motivated, and safe.

  • Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and personal development.

  • Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled sessions.

  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and follow all organizational policies and safety procedures.

Who we're looking for

  • Playing experience: A strong understanding of volleyball and/or pickleball, with the ability to demonstrate and teach the skills.

  • Coaching or teaching experience: Previous experience coaching, instructing, or leading groups in the relevant sport is strongly preferred.

  • The right personality: Energetic, positive, patient, approachable, and enthusiastic about working with children.

  • Strong communication: Able to explain skills clearly, provide constructive feedback, and connect with athletes of different ages and abilities.

  • Reliability: Punctual, organized, prepared, and committed to attending scheduled sessions.

  • Leadership: Comfortable managing a group, maintaining engagement, and creating a safe and respectful environment.

  • Adaptability: Able to adjust activities to suit different ages, skill levels, and learning needs.

Requirements

  • A Vulnerable Sector Check suitable for working with children, completed before beginning work.

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it before coaching begins, subject to organizational requirements.

  • Relevant coaching certifications are an asset.

Position details

  • Location: Ingersoll, Ontario

  • Sports: Youth volleyball and/or pickleball

  • Schedule: Scheduled weekday evening sessions; specific days and hours will be discussed with applicants.

  • Compensation: $20 - $25 based on experience and qualifications.
